The Walk Against Domestic Violence is an annual event to raise awareness of the prevalence of domestic violence in our society as well as to raise funds to help support women and children who have experienced abuse as they move towards leading lives free from abuse. This is the fifth year for this event.

This year, the annual Walk is being held on Sunday, May 27, 2018, starting and ending at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Formerly Harbourfront Community Centre) at 627 Queens Quay West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 3G3.  The Walk will take us west along the Martin Goodman Trail, towards our turn-around points for 5 and 7.5 km.

The Event:
Walk, run or ride individually or in teams, bring your dogs along for the walk.  However you decide to take part in the event, it will be an amazing time filled with exercise, fun and socializing, while you support a great cause helping women and children affected by abuse move towards leading lives free from abuse.
Childcare will be provided for children who are unable to do the walk.  The parent/ Guardian will present photo ID when child is dropped off and the information will be written on the admission form.  The same photo ID will need to be presented to collect the child and the information will be compared with what is on the child's admission form before the child is released.

Silent Auction:
During the course of the day, there will be a silent auction of items generously donated by various corporations and individuals. At the closing ceremony, the highest bidders will receive their items from the auction.

Fun and Games:
For those who would like to join us but are not keen on walking, running or cycling, there will be fun activities planned for the duration of the walk. Our Games Marshals will be happy to challenge your skill and levels of adventure.
