1. Where and when can I register?
You can register online under the Register tab until Saturday, May 26, 2018, at midnight. If you are unable to register before online registration is closed, you can register in person at the event - at Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Formerly Harbourfront Community Centre) on Sunday, May 27, 2018.  Registration starts at 9:30 am.
 
2. I lost my confirmation email. Can you please send it again?
There is no need. You are allowed to use one piece of valid photo ID to pick up your event packet. 
 
3. When and where can I pick up my event packet?
Event packets are available at the Registration Table on Sunday, May 27.  Registration and packet pick-up starts at 9:30 am.
 
4. Can my dog walk/run with me?
YES your dog is allowed to walk with you but MUST be kept on a leash.
 
5. Where is the course?
Starting and ending at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Formerly Harbourfront Community Centre) at 627 Queens Quay West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 3G3. The Walk will take us west on the Martin Goodman Trail, towards our turn-around points for 5 and 7.5 km.

6. Can I wear my headphones / iPod?
Yes, you are allowed to wear headphones / iPod during the event but please be aware of other participants around you.
 
7. Where are the toilets located along the route?
There are 2 toilets the first is at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Fromerly Harbourfront Community Centre) before you start the event and the second is located in Coronation Park
 
8. What kind of weather should I expect?
The month of May is characterized by rapidly rising daily high temperatures, with daily highs ranging from 16°C to 22°C over the course of the month, exceeding 27°C or dropping below 11°C only one day in ten. Be prepared for a variety of conditions. 
 
9. Is there parking? 
There is no parking at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Formerly Harbourfront Community Centre). However, paid parking is available at the following locations:

Lot P6 – Spadina Pier Parking Underground:

P1 Malting Parking:
  • (Drive south on Bathurst/Eireann Quay past Queen’s Quay intersection. Lot is located on the east side of the road across from the Airport entrance)

10. Do you need volunteers, and how do I sign up to volunteer?
Yes, we need 150 volunteers to ensure the event runs smoothly. Please register to volunteer on the Volunteering tab.
 
11. Where and when do I turn in my offline donations?
You can turn in your offline donations on event day, Sunday, May 27 at the Registration Table at Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre (Formerly Harbourfront Community Centre).  Registration starts at 9:30 am.

12. Do I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes. HFG will issue a tax receipt for for donations of $20 and more.

13. How do I send emails to friends and family to request donations?
Use your personal email account.  Copy the link to your fundraising page and paste it in your email. 
 
14. Can I participate in the Walk without fundraising?
Yes.  You can purchase a ticket at Buy Tickets. $40.00 Adults and $15.00 for children up to 15-yrs of age and seniors. Or you can Register as a Participant and purchase your ticket on Event Day Sunday, May 27. Registration starts at 9:30 am.
 
15. Can I come to the event if I don't want to participate in the Walk?
Yes.  You can purchase tickets at Buy Tickets $40 for Adults and $15 for children up to 15-yrs and seniors.  
 
16. What can I do on event day if I don't want to Walk, Run or Cycle?
For those who would like to join us on event day but are not keen on Walking, Running or Cycling, there will be fun activities planned for the duration of the Walk.  Our Games Marshals will be happy to challenge your skill and levels of adventure.
 
17. Will there be childcare? I would like to participate in the Walk but my child can't manage the Walk?
Childcare will be provided for children who are unable to do the Walk. The parent/Guardian will present photo ID when child is dropped off and the information will be written on the admission form.  The same photo ID will need to be presented to collect the child and the information will be compared with what is on the child's admission form before the child is released.
